Subject: Family 0 engines - Water hose chafed through (radiator to water pump / evaporation tank)

Complaint: Water hose chafed through (radiator to water pump / evaporation tank) causes loss of water and resulting in engine overheating.
Cause: The water hose slipped out of the bracket fan housing (see picture I, arrow) and was chafed through by the fan. This is caused by an insufficient fixing of the outlet water hose or the contraction of the water hose due to a blocked pressure regulation valve in the lid of the expansion tank.
Production: 100 % check of the correct fixing of water hose as of the following VIN's. Plant: VIN: Breakpoint Date: Zaragoza W0L0XCF0844 004694 22/08/2003 Eisenach W0L0XCF0846 002141 21/08/2003

Remedy:

Check the correct fixing water hose in brakets and routing of the radiator
water hose and the function of the release valve in the expansion tank.
