Water hose chafed through (radiator to water
pump / evaporation tank) causes loss of water and resulting in
engine overheating. |
Cause: |
The water hose slipped out of the bracket
fan housing (see picture I, arrow) and was chafed through by the
fan. This is caused by an insufficient fixing of the outlet water
hose or the contraction of the water hose due to a blocked pressure
regulation valve in the lid of the expansion tank. |
