| Complaint: |
Engine jerks and DTC P1405 - (EGR) set. |
| Cause: |
EGR sticks open because of particles from
catalytic converter. |
| Production: |
Modified cleaning procedure for catalytic
converter as of engine no: 19ER2816 (15.02.2005). |
Remedy:
In case of customer complaint carry out EGR actuator test to
remove particle from EGR valve seat. Let engine run with higher RPM
for a short period of time to avoid that further particles block
EGR valve.
