Axle Shaft Seal Rings, Replace
 Remove
| 1. |
Remove affected axle shaft from transmission  .
|
| 2. |
Remove intermediate shaft
| • |
Only if right axle shaft seal ring is affected and right
intermediate shaft is fitted
|
|
| 3. |
Remove affected axle shaft seal ring
| • |
Pull axle shaft seal ring out of transmission housing with
KM-J-7004 (1) and KM-586 (2)
|
|
|
|
Install
| 4. |
Install new axle shaft seal ring
| • |
Coat new axle shaft seal ring with transmission fluid
|
| • |
F13 and F17 transmission
| – |
Drive in flush with KM-446 (1)
|
|
| • |
F23 transmission
| – |
Drive in flush with KM-519
|
|
|
|
|
| 5. |
Install intermediate shaft
| • |
Only if right axle shaft seal ring is affected and right
intermediate shaft is fitted
|
|
| 6. |
Install axle shaft in the transmission
|
| 7. |
Check transmission fluid level and correct if necessary
|
|
