Front Fuel Return Line with Fuel Return Hose,
Remove and Install
Concerns Y17DT, Y17DTL and Z17DTH engines
Warning: Fuel
escapes – observe safety measures and national
legislation.
 Remove
| 1. |
Disconnect battery
| • |
Disconnect earth lead from battery.

| 2. |
Disconnect front fuel return line (1) with KM-796 at quick-release fitting of centre fuel return
line (2)
| • |
Seal fuel return line (1) and fuel return line (2) with KM-807
|
|
| 3. |
Unclip front fuel return line from brackets (arrows)
|
| 4. |
Remove fuel return hose (4) from connecting piece (3) at fuel
injection pump.

| 5. |
Remove front fuel return line with fuel return hose
|
|
|
Install
| 6. |
Insert front fuel return line with fuel return hose
|
| 7. |
Attach fuel return hose (2) to connection piece (1) on fuel
injection pump
Note: Use new
clamp.

| 8. |
Clip front fuel return line to brackets (arrows).
|
| 9. |
Remove KM-807 and attach front fuel
return line (3) to centre fuel return line (4) with quick-release
fitting
Note: Quick-release
fitting must engage perceptibly.

| 10. |
Connect battery earth cable.
|
| 11. |
Program volatile memories
|
| 12. |
Check fuel system for leaks

With the engine running
