Replace airbag unit, driver's side
 Remove

Observe waiting time for airbag deactivation, 1 min.

Remove airbag, driver's side

Steering wheel in straightahead position
|

Punch through perforated service opening (1) on both sides of
the steering wheel and and using a screwdriver (2), press both
retaining wires (arrows) in the direction of the steering column
and remove airbag module (3).
Note: On release,
ensure that the screwdriver (2) does not rest on the airbag plastic
frame (4).
Screwdriver must rest on the retaining wire (arrows). Ensure that
the retaining wire is not bent.

Release and disconnect 3x wiring harness plug

Install

Connect and latch wiring harness plug
|

Perform readiness check
