Replace curtain airbag (not deployed) - (L68) > < Replace airbag unit, driver's side

Replace airbag unit, passenger side

  Remove

1.   Disconnect battery
2.   Observe waiting time for airbag deactivation, 1 min.
3.   Remove glove compartment
•   Unscrew 4x bolts (1) and (2)
•   Separate glove compartment wiring harness plug
Object Number: 10678563 Size: DEFAULT


4.   Remove airbag unit
Note:   Always set aside airbag unit with padded side upwards
•   Unscrew bolt (1)
•   Release and disconnect wiring harness plug
Object Number: 3446943 Size: DEFAULT


  Install

5.   Install airbag unit
•   Connect and latch wiring harness plug
•   Tighten bolt 5 Nm
6.   Install glove compartment
•   Connect glove compartment wiring harness plug
•   Tighten 4x bolt
7.   Connect battery
8.   Perform readiness check
9.   Program volatile memories
