Exhaust Manifold, Remove and Install

Remove

1.	Remove turbocharger

2.	Remove oil filter housing

Remove exhaust manifold heat shield (2)

•

Remove engine transport shackle (3)

–	Unscrew bolt (4)

•	Unscrew 2x nuts (5) from exhaust manifold (1)

Remove exhaust manifold (2)

•	Unscrew 10x nut (3)

•	Remove gasket (1)

Install

Clean sealing surfaces.

•	From exhaust manifold to cylinder head

•	From exhaust manifold to turbocharger

Install exhaust manifold

•	Replace gasket

•	Replace 10x nuts

•	Tighten 10x nuts 15 Nm + 30° Note: Coat thread with lubrication compound. Select suitable lubrication compound from the spare parts catalogue.

Install exhaust manifold heat shield

•

Install engine transport tab

–	Tighten bolt 25 Nm

•	Tighten 2x nuts on exhaust manifold 9 Nm

8.	Install oil filter housing

9.	Install turbocharger
