Replace selector lever position switch
(AF13-II)
 Remove
| 1. |
Detach transmission control unit with bracket from battery
tray
| • |
Unclip transmission control unit with bracket and place
aside
|
|
|
|
| 2. |
Push off selector actuation cable (2) from actuation lever
(4)
|
| 3. |
Unclip selector actuation cable from counterhold (6)
| • |
Pull retaining ring (5) back and pull the actuation cable
upward out of the counterhold
|
|
| 4. |
Unclip selector lever position switch wiring harness (1) from
the bracket
|
| 5. |
Release and disconnect selector lever position switch wiring
harness plug (3)
|
|
|
| 6. |
Detach actuation lever (2) from selector lever shaft
|
| 7. |
Remove nut (3)
| • |
Bend open retaining plate (4)
|
|
| 8. |
Pull selector lever position switch (5) away from selector
lever shaft and transmission
|
|
|
Install
| 9. |
Place selector lever position switch (5) onto selector lever
shaft
|
| 10. |
Fit nut (3) to selector lever shaft
| • |
Secure nut with new retaining plate (4)
|
|
| 11. |
Attach actuation lever (2) to selector lever shaft with new nut
(1)
|
| 12. |
Fit 2 bolts (6) and screw in slightly
Note: Do not tighten
bolts.
|

Adjust selector lever position switch 
|
| 14. |
Tighten locking bolts 25 Nm
|
|
|
| 15. |
Connect and lock selector lever position switch wiring harness
plug (3)
|
| 16. |
Attach selector lever actuation cable to counterhold (6)
| • |
Pull back retaining ring (5) and insert actuating cable from
above into counterhold
|
|
| 17. |
Latch selector actuation cable (2) to actuation lever (4)
|
| 18. |
Clip the selector lever position switch wiring harness (1) into
bracket
|
| 19. |
Adjust selector actuation cable
|
|
|
| 20. |
Attach transmission control unit with bracket to battery
tray
| • |
Clip transmission control unit with bracket
Note: Ensure that the
lug (1) engages audibly.
|
|
|
|
| 21. |
Shift through gears and check gear selection positions
Note: If necessary,
adjust selector actuation cable
|
|
