Condition:         It appears that some confusion may exist regarding brake fluid specifications. To clarify the situation:

 

All passenger cars and car derived vans should use DOT 4 specification brake fluid only, as shown in the chart below.

 

All IBC/ISUZU built vehicles should use DOT 3 specification brake fluid only, as shown in the chart below.
