Heater Mat – Front Seat, Replace

Note:   For vehicles with seat occupied detection: Front seat heating mat must be replaced together with front seat upholstery and sensor mat. The "Aftersales" division offers an assembly – see operation "Upholstery – Front Seat, Remove and Install (Passenger Seat with Seat Occupied Detection)" in group "C".

  Remove

Detach front seat upholstery from cushion – see operation "Upholstery/Cushion – Front Seat, Remove and Install" in group "C".

Detach wiring harness plug (1) for connection to front seat heater mat.

Detach wiring harness plug (2) for connection to front seat backrest heater mat and guide through seat upholstery.

Guide wiring harness plug for front seat heater mat through cushion. Detach heater mat from cushion, guiding wiring harness plug for heater mat through cushion.

  Install

Cement the heater mat to the cushion in the old position. Remove the protective backing strips from the adhesive strips on the heater mat.

Guide wiring harness plug for front seat backrest heater mat through seat upholstery and connect wiring harness plug. Connect wiring harness plug for connection to front seat heater mat.

Upholstery support, front seat backrest and front seat.
