Open coolant drain bolt on radiator and collect coolant. Close
coolant drain bolt. Detach upper radiator hose from coolant pipe.
Remove fastening bolt (1) for coolant pipe, engine transport
shackle and oil dipstick guide tube. Detach coolant pipe from
thermostat housing to one side and remove upwards. Detach seal
rings from coolant pipe.
Install
Push new seal rings (2) onto coolant pipe. Lightly coat seal
rings with silicone grease (white). Push coolant pipe into
thermostat housing and fasten to cylinder head together with engine
transport shackle and oil dipstick guide tube – tightening
torque 25 Nm / 18.5 lbf. ft. Attach upper radiator hose to coolant
pipe. Charge cooling system – see operation "Cooling System,
Charge and Bleed" and "Cooling System, Check for Leaks".
