Fuel Pressure Regulator, Remove and Install

Caution

Fuel escapes. Observe safety regulations and national legislation.

Depressurise fuel using Fuel Pressure Gauge KM-J-34730-91 via test connection (1) – collect escaping fuel in suitable container.

  Remove

Detach vacuum hose (2) from fuel pressure regulator.

Remove fastening clamp (3) from fuel pressure regulator and from fuel distributor pipe.

 Object Number: 2392528 Size: DEFAULT

  Remove

Note installation position of fuel pressure regulator.

Remove fuel pressure regulator (1) carefully from fuel distributor pipe – ensure utmost cleanliness.

Caution

Damaged seal rings must be replaced.

  Install

Coat seal rings lightly with silicone grease (white) prior to assembly.

 Object Number: 2387827 Size: DEFAULT

Note installation position of fuel pressure regulator. Insert fuel pressure regulator in fuel distributor pipe – ensure utmost cleanliness. Attach fastening clamp to fuel pressure regulator and to fuel distributor pipe – tightening torque 5 Nm / 4 lbf. ft.

Connect vacuum hose to fuel pressure regulator.
