Turbocharger, Remove and Install
 Remove
|
Remove right engine damping block – see operation "Engine
Damping Blocks, Remove and Install".
Remove front exhaust pipe.
Remove right engine damping block (3) holder from cylinder
block.
Remove charge air hoses from turbocharger.
Disconnect oil return line (1) from turbocharger and oil pan.
Disconnect oil supply line (2) from cylinder block. Collect
escaping oil.
Remove attachment screws (5) (3 screws) from turbocharger.
Remove turbocharger from exhaust manifold (4).

Install
Attach turbocharger with new gasket to exhaust manifold –
tightening torque 45 Nm / 33 lbf. ft.
Install oil feed line with new seal rings at cylinder block
– tightening torque 23 Nm / 17 lbf. ft.
Install oil return line at oil pan and with new seal at
turbocharger – tightening torque 10 Nm / 7.5 lbf. ft.
Install charge air hoses at turbocharger.
Install bracket for engine damping block, right at cylinder
block – tightening torque 30 Nm / 22 lbf. ft.
Install front exhaust pipe with new fastening nuts and new seal
ring.
Install right engine damping block – see operation "Engine
Damping Blocks, Remove and Install".
Check engine oil level and correct if necessary.
