Solenoid Valves in Main Casing, Replace (except Y
25 DT)
 Remove
|
Remove transmission fluid pan (main casing) – see
operation "Transmission Fluid Pan (Main Casing), Remove and Install
and/or Gasket, Replace". Detach fluid screen (3 fastening bolts)
and remove with gasket.
Inspect
Check fluid screen seal – if damaged, replace fluid screen
completely.

Remove
Release wiring harness plugs from
relevant solenoid valve and remove:
- 1/2 and 3/4 shift (2)
- 2/3 shift (3)
- brake band servo (1)
See operation "Adapter Piece at Main Housing, Replace".

Remove
|
Pull sleeve (1, 2) out of each solenoid valve using pliers.
Caution
Remove sleeve carefully using pliers, to avoid damage to
solenoid valves. If necessary, insert a thin piece of welding wire
or similar into sleeve to avoid breaking. Do not pull on wiring
harness plug to remove solenoid valve. Remove solenoid valves with
gasket from each valve seat.

Release cylinder pin (1) by pressing on solenoid valve for brake
band servo (2) and pull out cylinder pin. Remove solenoid valve
with gasket from valve seat.
Caution
Do not pull on wiring harness plug to remove solenoid valve.

|
Install
|
Insert solenoid valves and secure with cylinder pin or new
sleeve.
Drive in sleeve carefully to avoid damage.
Press solenoid valve for brake band servo into seat and insert
cylinder pin in bore hole, subsequent release of solenoid valve
clamps the cylinder pin.

|
Connect wiring harness plug to relevant
solenoid valve:
- 1/2 and 3/4 shift (2)
- 2/3 shift (3)
- brake band servo (1)
Screw in fluid filter with seal (3 bolts) – 20 Nm / 15
lbf. ft. Install transmission fluid pan (main housing) – see
corresponding operation "Transmission Fluid Pan (Main Housing),
Remove and Install and/or Seal, Replace".
