  Remove

Pull back spring clamp (2) and detach air duct hose (3) from secondary air non-return valve (1).

Detach fastening nuts (1) and pull back spring clamps (2).

Detach secondary air centre metal pipe from hose connections.

Removal of non-return valve: clamp secondary air centre metal pipe in vice with protective jaws and remove non-return valve.

  Install

To install non-return valve: Coat thread with screw locking compound (red) and bolt to metal pipe – tightening torque 30 Nm / 22 lbf. ft.

Insert secondary air centre metal pipe in hose connections.

Attach fastening nut to upper alternator fastening bolt – tightening torque 35 Nm / 26 lbf. ft. Attach fastening nut to rubber buffer stud – tightening torque 12 Nm / 9 lbf. ft.
