Serve Motors with Potentiometers

The memory seats, like the electrically adjustable seats without memory, are driven by four servo motors.

In addition, potentiometers are attached to the serve motors, which constantly report the current seat position to the control unit.

The serve motors are equipped with overload protectors.

If the seats meet an obstruction, the current supply to the motor is interrupted.

If the motor for longitudinal adjustment should malfunction, the seat can be adjusted with an emergency crank stored in the vehicle tool set.

·    Service

If replacement of a motor for seat height adjustment is necessary when the seat is in the lowest position, the relevant transfer pipe must be separated at the middle (saw through at point X).

The delivery range of the "Parts and Accessories" Department includes all components shown.

The operations are described in the Service Instructions, group C.
