Parking Brake, Adjust (Vehicles with Drum Brake)  

Notice: 

Adjustment of the parking brake is only required after disassembly of the brake, replacement of the brake drum or replacement of the brake shoe. Before adjusting the parking brake: adjust drum brake.  

  Remove, Disconnect   

Raise vehicle. Unclip bellows from centre console and remove.     Adjust    Position parking brake lever on 4th detent. Turn nuts (1) on parking brake lever until both rear wheels can still just be turned by hand. The braking effect must be the same for both wheels.     Install, Connect    Install folding cover and lower vehicle.     Adjust    Make short running-in journey of approx. 300 m/328 yards at low speed with parking brake slightly applied.
