In the event of a frontal collision, the brake pedal is released from its bearing to protect the foot and legs of the driver as far as possible. This measure has considerably improved the driver's safety. This also applies for the clutch pedal. • Service The construction of the pedal support means that the brake pedal and the pedal support are one assembly and that the brake pedal cannot be replaced individually. Important: If the airbag has been deployed, the brake pedal and its bearing in the pedal support must be inspected and, if necessary, replaced. |
