Auxiliary Fan Motor, Remove and Install  

  Remove, Disconnect   

Remove radiator grille and front panelling - see operation "Front Panelling, Remove and Install" in group "A".   Remove front right turn signal lamp - see operation "Turn Signal Lamp - Front, Remove and Install" in group "N".   Remove right headlamp - see operation "Headlamp, Remove and Install" in group "N".   Unclip ambient temperature sensor (1) from bracket on front member. Unclip wiring harness from front member (arrows) - lay cable harness out of the way.   Remove fastening nuts (enlargements) and remove front member (2) from side member.

  Remove, Disconnect   

Unclip power steering cooling coil (1) from brackets (2) on auxiliary fan housing.   Disconnect wiring harness plug (3) for auxiliary air fan and set aside wiring harness.

  Remove, Disconnect   

Remove fastening bolts (arrows) for air intake pipe.   Remove fastening bolts (1) for auxiliary fan housing from radiator. Carefully pull auxiliary fan housing and air intake pipe slightly downwards and remove air intake pipe and auxiliary fan housing.     Important!    For vehicles with air conditioning: Attach condenser at suitable point and ensure that the coolant lines are not deformed.

  Remove, Disconnect   

Remove fastening bolts (arrows) and remove auxiliary fan motor together with fan wheel.     Install, Connect    Mount auxiliary fan motor on auxiliary fan housing together with fan wheel.   Insert air intake pipe with auxiliary fan housing and attach auxiliary fan housing to radiator.   For vehicles with air conditioning: Attach auxiliary fan housing together with condenser to radiator.   Attach air intake pipe to side member and air deflector panel.   Clip power steering coolant coil in auxiliary fan housing bracket.   Connect wiring harness plug for auxiliary air fan and fasten wiring harness.   Clip ambient temperature sensor into bracket on front member, secure wiring harness and attach front member to side member with new fastening nuts.

  Install, Connect   

Install right headlamp - see operation "Headlamp, Remove and Install" in group "N".  

Install front right turn signal lamp - see operation "Turn Signal Lamp - Front, Remove and Install" in group "N".  

Install front panelling and radiator grille - see operation "Front Panelling, Remove and Install" in group "A".
