Intake Flange, Remove and Install Remove and Install > < Intake Pipe (above Cylinders 2-4-6), Remove and Install

 

Intake Bridge, Remove and Install  

Object Number: 616191  Size: DEFAULT  Remove, Disconnect   

Remove intake plenum - see operation "Intake Plenum, Remove and Install (X 25 XE)" or "Intake Plenum, Remove and Install (Y 26 SE)".  

Disconnect wiring harness plug from coolant temperature sensor and from coolant temperature sender. Disconnect multiple plug from injection valves cable bundle. Detach wiring harness plug from injectors. Detach intake bridge (1) from intake flange (6 fastening bolts).  

Notice: 

Before assembling components of the intake system (hoses, connections, etc.), they must be cleaned of any possible contamination (grease, oil, etc.). When tightening the hose clamps, be sure to observe exactly the tightening torque of 3.5 Nm / 2.6 lbf. ft.

It is only ensured that the intake system is free of leaks, thus ensuring operational safety of the engine, if the hose clamps are tightened correctly to the prescribed tightening torque.

Object Number: 616192  Size: DEFAULT  Install, Connect   

Place new seal rings (2) on intake flange (3 × 2). Attach intake bridge to intake flange - tightening torque 20 Nm / 15 lbf. ft.  

Connect wiring harness plug to injection valves - ensure correct seating of the wiring harness plug.  

Connect multiplug for injector cable bundle.  

Attach wiring harness plug to coolant temperature sender and coolant temperature sensor.  

Install intake plenum - see operation "Intake Plenum, Remove and Install (X 25 XE)" or "Intake Plenum, Remove and Install (Y 26 SE)".
