Oil Pan, Remove and Install (X 16 XEL, Y 16 XE, Z 16 XE)
Remove, Disconnect
For version with dynamic oil level control: Disconnect wiring harness plug from dynamic oil level control sensor and expose cable.
Remove front exhaust pipe.
Remove oil drain bolt - collect escaping engine oil.
Remove fastening bolts (1) from transmission housing.
Detach oil pan carefully from cylinder block and oil pump.
Clean
Remove gasket residue, clean sealing surfaces and check oil pan for plane surface.
Important!
Sealing surfaces must be free from grease and dirt.
Install, Connect
Apply a bead of adhesive sealing compound (black) to joints (arrows) of oil pump and rear crankshaft bearing cap.
Attach oil pan with new gasket (arrow) to oil pump, cylinder block and transmission.
Installation sequence:

Loosely tighten all fastening bolts

Tighten fastening bolts on cylinder block and oil pump - tightening torque 10 Nm / 7 lbf. ft. 1) .

Tighten fastening bolts on transmission housing - tightening torque M8 = 20 Nm / 15 lbf. ft., M10 = 40 Nm / 30 lbf. ft.
1) Re-cut thread before re-use and insert with screw locking compound (red). The installation time including torque check is max. 5 min.
Attach oil drain plug with new seal ring to oil pan - tightening torque 45 Nm / 33 lbf. ft.
Install front exhaust pipe with new gaskets and new fastening nuts.
For version with dynamic oil level control: Connect wiring harness plug to dynamic oil level control sensor - ensure correct cable routing.
Fill engine oil up to "MAX" at dipstick.
