• Engine control unit regulates radiator fan • Engine speed increase if battery voltage is too low • Fuel quantity increase when AC is switched on (via P109)

Heater Elements The introduction of the EDC 15 M engine management system has led to a modification of the preheater system. Instead of the previous preheating relay, a preheating control unit with semiconductors is used. In addition, the conductor bridges between the heater elements have been replaced by four individual wiring harness plugs. The heater elements (1) have been adapted to the new wiring harness plugs (2) by omitting the threaded stem. The preheater system now features self-diagnosis and can be checked with TECH 2.
