Intake Air Temperature Sensor, Remove and Install (X 16 XEL, Y 16 XE, Z 16 XE)  

Notice: 

Illustration G 9995 at top (I) shows X 16 XEL with secondary air system.  

Illustration G 9995 below (II) shows X 16 XEL without secondary air system, Y 16 XE, Z16 XE.  

Object Number: 616191  Size: DEFAULT  Remove, Disconnect   

Disconnect wiring harness plug (1) from intake air temperature sensor (2).  

Carefully pull intake air temperature sensor out of rubber ring (3). Remove rubber ring from air intake pipe - ensure that no parts are damaged.

Object Number: 616192  Size: DEFAULT  Install, Connect   

Attach new rubber ring (1) to intake air temperature sensor (2) - ensure correct installation position.  

Notice: 

Before assembling components of the intake system (hoses, connections, etc.), they must be cleaned of any possible contamination (grease, oil, etc.).  

Object Number: 616201  Size: DEFAULT  Important!   

The operational safety of the engine is only ensured if the intake system is free of leaks.  

Object Number: 616192  Size: DEFAULT  Install, Connect   

Install intake air temperature sensor with rubber ring in air guide tube - ensure correct seating and that parts are not damaged.  

Connect wiring harness plug to intake air temperature sensor.
