Oil Pump Gasket Leaks
Vehicles:
Vectra, Corsa, Tigra, Astra with 1.2 / 1.4I1.6 Petrol Engines
Condition:
Complaints have been received from Retail Facilities regarding oil leaks from around the oil pump area.
Cause:
From detailed investigations it was found that the cause was due to incorrect machining tolerances between the oil pump and the cylinder block.
Remedy: Install new gasket.
The new gasket has now been introduced into production and the respective engine breakpoint numbers are:
