Transmission Wiring Harness, Remove and Install - AF 20/22
Remove, Disconnect Remove battery - to do this, unclip small relay box from battery bracket. Remove wiring harness plug (1) for transmission wiring harness from retainer on transmission and disconnect - to do this, release sliding cap (2) in direction of arrow. Disconnect wiring harness plug (3) for fluid temperature sensor. Remove coolant compensation tank - to do this, disassemble clamp (4) and hose (5), lay tank aside. Disconnect wiring harness plugs from: transmission input speed sensor (7), transmission output speed sensor (6). Release bolt (10) on selector lever position switch (located underneath battery case). Remove bolt (9) and retaining plate (8) for wiring harness - illustration shows selector lever position switch without actuation lever. |

Remove, Disconnect Remove side cover from transmission - see operation "Side Cover, Seal". Remove wiring harness plug from solenoid valves: 1-2 / 3-4 change-over valve (1), 2-3 change-over valve (2), pressure regulator (3), converter clutch (4), neutral shift (5 - not with all transmissions). Remove wiring harness.
Install, Connect Connect wiring harness with new O-ring from outside inwards. Install wiring harness plug at solenoid valves and pressure regulator. Install side cover at transmission - see operation "Side Cover, Seal". Insert retaining plate for wiring harness with bolt.
Adjust Adjust selector lever position switch - see operation "Selector Lever Position Switch, Adjust". |

Install, Connect Connect wiring harness plug to transmission input speed sensor (7) and transmission output speed sensor (6). Install coolant compensation tank - to do this, install clamp (4) and hose (5). Connect wiring harness plug (3) for fluid temperature sensor. Connect wiring harness plug (1) for transmission wiring harness and engage sliding lock (2) in opposite direction of arrow. Fasten wiring harness plug to bracket. Install battery. Install relay box at battery bracket.
Inspect Check transmission fluid level and correct if necessary - see operation "Transmission Fluid Level, Check and Correct". |
