Checking and Adjusting Operations Transmission Fluid Level, Check and Correct (F 13/F 15/F 17/F 18/F 18+) Notice: The transmission fluid level need only be checked and corrected, if necessary, after repair and maintenance operations on the transmission. The transmission fluid is no longer topped up at the bleeder screw (3), but through the aperture in the reversing lamp switch. To do this, remove reversing lamp switch (4) - see corresponding operation.
Inspect Remove fluid checking screw: For F 13, F 15, F 17 with KM-914 (1) - rear left checking aperture. For F 18/F 18+: rear right checking aperture (2) with commercially available tool. Check transmission fluid level - transmission must be charged to lower edge of checking aperture, if necessary, top up transmission fluid at aperture in reversing lamp switch for F 13, F 15, F 17, F 18/F 18+ until fluid escapes from checking aperture. |

Inspect For F23: Remove fluid checking screw (1). Transmission must be charged to lower edge of checking aperture. If necessary, top up transmission fluid at top-up aperture (2) until fluid escapes at fluid checking aperture. For F 25 / F 35: Remove fluid checking bolt with KM-914 (4). Transmission must be charged to lower edge of checking aperture. If necessary, top up transmission fluid at top-up aperture (3) until fluid escapes at fluid checking aperture. |
