Vectra B
Transmission Shift Linkage With the introduction of the Vectra-B, the shift control is supported by a separate, dampened shift bridge (2). The shift bridge is dampened by its bearings with rubber bushings (1) on the front axle. Illus. F 4979 shows the shift bridge with the shift control.
11.2.1 Transmission Shift Linkage (continued) This design has the following advantages:
- minimal gearshift lever motion, - no gearshift lever vibration, - no jumping out of gear and - acoustic decoupling.
This means that the driver can shift precisely and that the interior noise is reduced, increasing the driving comfort. Illus. F 4993 shows the new manual transmission gearshift lever.
