Disconnect 4-pin connector from Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor -G71- with Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor -G72-, item no. 21 ,
Overview of component locations.

Vehicles with 80-pin control module 

-

Check for open circuit in wires between test box and connector according to wiring diagram.
-

Terminal 3 + socket 39

-

Terminal 4 + socket 40 

-

Wire resistance: max. 1.5 Ohms

Vehicles with 121-pin control module

-

Check for open circuit in wires between test box and connector according to wiring diagram.
-

Terminal 3 + socket 31

-

Terminal 4 + socket 71

-

Wire resistance: max. 1.5 Ohms

Continuation for all vehicles

-

Also check wires for short circuit to each other, to vehicle Ground (GND) and to B+.

-

Specified value: Infinite Ohms

If no malfunctions are detected in wires:

-

Replace Diesel Direct Fuel Injection (DFI) Engine Control Module (ECM) -J248-.
