Wait 10 seconds.
This allows the oil to flow back into the transmission from the filter housing.

Remove the air filter housing.

After you have installed the filter with the shoulder - arrow - downward, tighten the housing to 20 Nm.
Wipe clean any oil.

Raise the vehicle.

Remove the noise insulation.

Place the (V.A.G 1782) or (V.A.G 1306 ) under the transmission.

Remove the inspection plug - arrow - near the pendulum support.
