Exploded view

• Left-hand outer rear-view mirror assembly
• Fillister countersunk head screw
• Outer door panel
• Inner door panel
• Hexagon nut
• Spring washer
• Hexagon bolt

• Plate
• Toggle
• Fillister countersunk head screw
• Trim
• Door trim
• Protective foil
• Foam seal
• Operating lever with retainer for outer rear-view mirror (supplied as 1 part)
• Foam seal
• Backing plate for outer rear - view mirror

Service installation

→ 1 = 45 mm

2 = Elongated hole 20+0.5mm x 26+0.5mm

• ‒ Remove door trim and pull off protective foil in area being worked on.
• ‒ Mark off and centre pop elongated hole.
• ‒ Drill out, mill and file hole.
• ‒ Prime hole.

→ 1 = Window lifter

• ‒ Wind window up, secure with a screwdriver -arrow- and remove window lifter.

→ 1 = Operating lever

2 = Foam seal

3 = Hexagon bolts

• ‒ Insert mirror retainer with operating lever between inner and outer door panels and fit lever with a foam seal between panels.
• ‒ Push operating lever through rectangular opening in inner door panel and fit a piece of foam rubber from outside in addition.
• ‒ Secure retainer to inner door panel using three hexagon bolts M 5 x 10, spring washers and hexagon nuts.
• ‒ Install mirror - do not forget backing plate!
• ‒ Check operation.

→ 1 = 318 mm ± 1 mm

2 = 16 mm

3 = 45 mm

4 = 75 mm ± 1 mm

• ‒ Mark opening on door trim.
• ‒ Make opening in door trim and file off.

Note:

Plate must be fitted and securely seated.

• ‒ Install door trim.
• ‒ Install toggle, plate and trim.
• ‒ Functional check.
