Notes:

• ◆ When the engine is warm the cooling system is under pressure. If necessary release pressure before commencing repair work.
• ◆ Hoses are secured with spring-type clips or screw-type clips. In cases of repair spring-type clips can be replaced by screw-type clips.
• ◆ Hose clip pliers V.A.G 1921 are recommended when installing spring-type clips.
• ◆ Draining and filling with coolant =>Page 19-9.
• ◆ Coolant mixture ratios =>Page 19-11 draining and filling with coolant.
• ◆ Carry out cooling system leakage check with V.A.G 1274 and 1274/3
