Notes:

  • ◆ Checking compressions .
  • ◆ When installing an exchange cylinder head the contact surfaces between bucket tappet and cam must be oiled after installation.
  • ◆ The plastic protectors fitted to protect the open valves must only be removed immediately before fitting the cylinder head.
  • ◆ When replacing the cylinder head the complete coolant must be renewed.
  • Oil filter cap
    • ◆ Renew seal if damaged.
  • Cylinder head cover
  • Reinforcement strip
  • 10 Nm
  • Oil deflector plate
  • Cylinder head cover gasket
    • ◆ Renew if damaged.

  • Cylinder head bolt
    • ◆ Note sequence when loosening and tightening => Page 15-6 installing cylinder head.
    • ◆ Check type => Fig. 2
  • Sealing plug
    • ◆ Renew.
  • Cylinder head
    • ◆ Check for distortion => Fig. 1
    • ◆ Removing and installing
      => Page 15-5.
    • ◆ If replaced renew coolant.
  • Cylinder head gasket
    • ◆ Renew.
    • ◆ Install in correct position.
    • ◆ If replaced renew coolant.
  • Camshaft sprocket
    • ◆ Note position when installing tooth belt => Page 13-9 removing, installing and tensioning toothed belt.
  • 25 Nm
