Differential bevel gear shaft secured with extended rivets

→ From construction date 15 10 2 The bevel gear shaft retension has been modified. The circlips have been discontinued and the shaft is now held in position by two extended rivets. This means that the two rivets near the shaft, of the eight rivets securing the crownwheel, have been extended in length. The shaft is available with, or without circlip grooves. When repairs are carried out to the differential whereby the rivets are drilled out and by bolts: Install shaft with grooves - Par No. 020 409 177 A - and secure in position with circlips - N042 363 1 -. When renewing the differential bevel gears: → Cut off both rivets to the some lenght (ensure sawdust does not enter tapered roller bearings). Secure bevel gear shaft with circlips. |
