To centre, screw guide pins from 3070 into the tapped holes 8 and 10.

‒ Place cylinder head in position, insert other eight cheesehead bolts and hand-tighten.

‒ Screw out guide pins with pin turner from 3070 through bolt holes and insert cheesehead bolts.
Note:
Centring with the guide pin 3070 is no longer needed in the case of engines with centring pins for cylinder head gasket in the cylinder block.

‒ Tighten cylinder head in four steps in sequence indicated.
