Note:

  • ◆ On engines with code letters DX and KT the diaphragm pressure switch is fitted as standard 08.84.
  • ◆ On engines with code letters DX and KT up 07.84, or engines with code letters JH and vacuum switch from 08.87 the diaphragm pressure switch can be retroffited, see cold acceleration enrichment =>page 25-57 .

  • →      1 =     Diaphragm pressure switch -F93-.
  •      2 =     To vacuum pipe for brake servo (engine code letters DX and KT) or to vacuum switch on intake manifold (engine code letters JH).

  • ‒ → Pull connector off diaphragm pressure switch -1-.
  • ‒ Start engine and let it idle.
  • ‒ Measure resistance between contacts with hand multimeter V.A.G 1526 and aux. cables from V.A.G 1594.
  • ‒ Increase speed by quickly Opening the throttle.
         Resistance must drop briefly and then increase to ∞ωagain.
