Electrical check of 68-pin connectors

Test preconditions, notes → Chapter

The automatic gearbox control unit -J217- is located under the rear seat bench.

–	Switch ignition off, release multi-pin connector in -direction of arrow- and pull off control unit.

–	Fit test box -V.A.G 1598/18- onto multi-pin connector -1- and lock in direction of -arrow 2-.

Wiring can be checked with test box -V.A.G 1598/18- according to current flow diagram.

After electrical check

–	Reconnect multi-pin connection on automatic gearbox control unit -J217- and lock in position.

Note

When fitting, ensure that the guides -arrows- are engaged on pins of automatic gearbox control unit -J217-.
