Checking compression
Checking compression
l  Engine oil temperature min. 30 °C.
–  Pull connector off Hall sender (ignition distributor).
–  Fully open throttle valve.
–  Check compression using compression tester -V.A.G 1763-.
  Note
Using compression tester → operating instructions.
–  Operate starter until tester shows no further pressure increase.
Compression pressures:

ABS, ADZ, ADY, AGG, AKR, 2E, ANP10…13 bar7.5 bar

Maximum permissible difference between all cylinders: 3 bar
