Removing and installing brake servo/brake master cylinder (right hand drive)
Removing
-
‒ Release brake servo vacuum by operating the brake pedal several times.

‒ Remove air intake elbow complete with air hose from mixture preparation unit and throttle valve housing.

‒ Pull vacuum hose off brake servo unit.
-
‒ Draw off as much brake fluid as possible from the brake fluid reservoir, with a suction bottle.
-
‒ Remove hydraulic unit and clutch master cylinder supply pipes from the brake fluid reservoir.

‒ Remove brake fluid reservoir.
-
‒ Remove brake pipes from Tandem brake master cylinder.
-
‒ Remove Tandem brake master cylinder from brake servo.
Vehicles with ABS, ABS/EDL:
-
‒ Remove brake pedal position sender (G100)
.

‒ Remove shelf on right below dash panel.
-
‒ Separate brake pedal from brake servo with special tool 3289
-
‒ Remove brake servo from bulkhead.
-
‒ Take out brake servo.
Note:
The brake servo can only be removed if the clutch master cylinder, tandem brake master cylinder and brake pedal position sender have been removed.
Installing
Install in reverse order.

‒ Bleeding clutch hydraulic control system
=> Repair group 30; Servicing clutch control
