Torque settings:
Torque settings:
50 Nm +30° further.
t  To tighten 12-point nut we recommend the torque wrench -V.A.G 1756-.
If no special wrench is available the 12-point nut can be tightened according to the following method.
–  Lower vehicle until the wheels touch the ground.
–  Tighten 12-point nut to 200 Nm and then loosen one full turn.
–  Pre-tighten 12-point nut to 50 Nm.
   
–  Mark one of the 12-points on the nut with a line -arrow A-.
–  Mark a 2nd line -arrow B- on the edge of the wheel hub above the next 12-point.
The angle from one 12-point to the next 12-point is 30°.
–  Turn 12-point nut further until the two marks are in line.
