1 - Axle beam
2 - Self-locking hexagon nut, 120 Nm
3 - Hexagon bolt M12 x 1.5 x 100
4 - Handbrake cable
q   Adjust handbrake → Chapter.
5 - Rubber bush
q   Removing → Fig.
q   Installing → Fig.
6 - Suspension link
7 - Hexagon socket head bolt, 10 Nm
8 - Speed sensor
9 - Brake drum
q   Repair instructions → Chapter.
10 - Cross-head screw

12 - Self-locking hexagon nut
q   Pre-tighten to 90 Nm and turn 45° (/18turn) further.
q   Remove any paint residue or corrosion on thread of outer joint before fitting nut.
q   To tighten, we recommend using the angle wrench -V.A.G 1756-.

15 - Self-locking hexagon nut, 65 Nm

21 - Hexagon bolt M12 x 1.5 x 95
22 - Inner rubber bush
q   Removing → Fig.

q   Camber and toe can be corrected with a rubber bush with eccentric bush → Fig..

Pulling rubber bush out from wishbone
–  Cut off collar of rubber bush -arrow- before pulling out.
  Note
Grease thread and washer.

Pulling rubber bush into wishbone
A - Washer
–  Coat rubber bush with lubricant, e.g. assembly paste -G 052 109 A2-.
–  Insert rubber bush so that collar points outwards at outer wishbone bush. (Inwards at inner bush).
–  Pull in until bush collar lies on wishbone.

Rubber bush for toe/camber correction
This rubber bush -A- is fitted with an eccentric bushing. This can alter the position of the wishbone.
This rubber bush may only be used on the inner mounting of the wishbone. The camber and/or the toe can be modified depending on installation position.

  Note
