Repairing power assisted steering > < Bolting track rod onto steering rack

Checking track rod length, adjusting if necessary
Checking track rod length, adjusting if necessary
   
–  Check dimension -a- on left-hand track rod and adjust as required.
Dimension “a” = 435 ± 1 mm
–  Screw on track rod and lock.
  Note
t  Adjust track only on right track rod.
t  If end of left track rod has to be unbolted, it must be reset to dimension -a- on installation. Check dimension -a- of new left track rods before installing and adjust as required.
