  Note
t  The procedure required to clear the air conditioner compressor of refrigerant oil is described in the workshop manual 'Air conditioning systems with refrigerant R134a' → Rep. gr.00 under 'Flushing (cleaning) refrigerant circuit with refrigerant R134a'; 'Standard circuit diagrams for various flushing circuits'; 'Flushing circuit and air conditioner'.
t  If the refrigerant circuit is flushed with refrigerant R134a, e.g. following air conditioner compressor damage, the vehicle must be de-energised beforehand → Electric drive; Rep. gr.93.
  WARNING
High voltage on high voltage system of vehicle. Danger of electric shock! Following procedure also requires work on high-voltage system. Now de-energise the high-voltage system → Electric drive; Rep. gr.93.
  WARNING
High voltage on high voltage system of vehicle. Danger of electric shock! Before starting work, carry out a visual check of high-voltage components in area of work. Observe general warning instructions → Electric drive system; Rep. gr.93.
  Note
t  The bolting points of the air conditioner compressor and the engine must be checked prior to installation.
t  The contact surfaces must be clean, rust- and grease-free.
t  Otherwise, repair the contact surfaces using the contact surface cleaning set -VAS 6410- → Electrical system; General information; Rep. gr.97.

t  Air conditioner service station -VAS 6007A- (or later model).
