Topping up oil in Haldex coupling
Topping up oil in Haldex coupling
Test precondition
l  Vehicle level.
  Note
t  Only replenish high-performance oil for Haldex coupling.
t  High-performance oil for Haldex coupling is available as a part → Electronic parts catalogue „ETKA“.
Perform the following steps:
–  Raise vehicle.
–  Place drip tray underneath.
–  Place drip tray for workshop hoist -VAS 6208- under Haldex coupling.
   
–  Remove oil filler plug -arrow-. (For sake of clarity, shown with final drive removed.)
  N39-10175
–  Screw adapter -A- in to stop.
–  Engage angle piece of filling device for Haldex coupling 2 -VAS 6291--B- with adapter -A-.
–  Using filling device for Haldex coupling 2 -VAS 6291-, add enough oil so that it runs out between the adapter of the filling device and the final drive housing.
–  Remove filling device and adapter; excess oil may still run out.
The oil level is correct when the Haldex coupling is filled to the lower edge of the filler hole.
  N39-10178
–  Screw in plug -arrow- and tighten. Torque setting 15 Nm
–  Then check oil level in Haldex coupling → Chapter.
