t  Torque wrench -V.A.G 1783-
  W00-0990
t  Hose clip pliers -VAS 6340-

Removing
–  Use hose clip pliers -VAS 6340- to release tension from spring-type clip -B- and detach air duct from engine cover -A-.
  N01-10917
–  Pull connector -2- off air mass meter -G70-.
–  Loosen clips -arrows A.-
  N01-10925
–  Unclip hose from attachments -2-.
–  Disengage engine cover at successive attachment points -arrow 4-, -arrow 5-, -arrow 6- and then at attachment point -arrow 3-, and lift up engine cover.
Installing
  Note
The engine cover rubber mountings -arrows- may not be lubricated or greased before installation.

–  During installation, ensure that the 4 rubber mountings -arrows- are inserted correctly in engine cover/air filter.
–  Position engine cover in installation position and press rubber mountings simultaneously onto retaining pins.
–  Tighten bolts for intake air ducting to 1.6 Nm.
Further installation is carried out in the reverse order.
