–  Remove engine bracket → Chapter.
–  Remove toothed belt → Chapter.
–  Remove tensioning roller.
–  Unscrew all idler rollers from engine → Chapter.
–  Remove camshaft pulley together with hub from camshaft → Chapter.
–  Remove coolant pump → Chapter.
–  Remove upper securing bolt of high-pressure pump.
   
–  Remove securing bolt -arrow- of toothed belt guard above high-pressure pump.

–  Remove rear securing bolt -arrow- of toothed belt guard.

–  Carefully unclip toothed belt guard from cylinder head cover -arrows-.

–  Separate connector for Hall sender -G40--arrow-.
–  Detach plug from its retainer.

–  Unscrew Hall sender -G40--arrow-.
–  Slightly pull toothed belt guard upwards and tilt it away from engine.
–  Remove Hall sender -G40-.
Installing
Install in reverse order. In the process, note the following:
–  Fit toothed belt and adjust valve timing → Chapter.
–  Ensure that cylinder head cover is correctly clipped to toothed belt guard.

–  To do this, press toothed belt guard (using a screwdriver if necessary) against cylinder head cover in area of clips -arrows- until clips audibly engage in each other.
–  Check that there is sufficient clearance between hub and toothed belt guard.
