Removing and installing ancillary bracket
Removing
–  Remove high-pressure pump → Chapter.
–  Remove alternator → Electrical system; Rep. gr.27.
  WARNING
The air conditioner refrigerant circuit must not be opened.
–  Remove air conditioner compressor from ancillary bracket and secure to lock carrier.
   
–  Unscrew idler rollers -1- and -2- and unscrew toothed belt guard bolt -arrow-.
–  Unscrew front bolt of engine bracket.

–  Unscrew bolts -6…1- and remove ancillary bracket.
Installing
Install in reverse order. In the process, note the following:
t  Note any fitted sleeves in ancillary bracket and renew missing ones if necessary.
t  Renew all bolts to be tightened with further turning angle.

Ancillary bracket - specified torques and tightening sequence
–  Insert securing bolts for ancillary bracket as follows:
t  Bolts -1- and -2- M10 x 52.
t  Bolts -5- and -6- M10 x 60.
t  Bolts -3- and -4- M10 x 30.
–  Tighten securing bolts for ancillary bracket in sequence -1 … 6- in 2 stages as follows:
1.  Screw all bolts in to stop by hand.
2.  Tighten all bolts to 40 Nm.
3.  Turn bolts -3- and -4- 45° further.
4.  Turn bolts -1, 2, 5 and 6- 90° further.
–  Install alternator → Electrical system; Rep. gr.27.
–  Installing high-pressure pump → Chapter.
–  Fit front bolt of engine bracket → Item.
