t  Cooling system tester -V.A.G 1274-
t  Adapter for cooling system tester -V.A.G 1274/8-
t  Adapter for cooling system tester -V.A.G 1274/9-

Test prerequisite
l  Engine at operating temperature.
Test procedure
  WARNING
Steam may escape when expansion tank is opened. Wear eye protection and protective clothing to avoid eye injuries and scalding. Cover cap with cloth and open carefully.
–  Open filler cap of coolant expansion tank.
   
–  Set cooling system tester -V.A.G 1274- with adapter -V.A.G 1274/8- on expansion tank.
–  Use hand pump on tester to create a pressure of about 1.0 bar.
If pressure drops:
–  Find leaks and rectify.
