1 - 40 Nm
q   Renew.
q   Coat exhaust manifold studs with high-temperature paste -G 052 112 A3-
2 - Lambda probe -G39-
q   55 Nm
q   Bank 1, probe 1
q   Grease only the thread with high-temperature paste -G 052 112 A3-. The paste must not penetrate into the slots on the probe body.
3 - Front exhaust pipe with catalytic converter and front silencer
  Caution
Avoid damage to the flexible joint.
t  Do not bend decoupling element more than 10°.
t  Install decoupling element so that it is not under tension.
t  Take care not to damage wire mesh on decoupling element.
q   Protect catalytic converter from damage by knocks and impact
q   Removing and installing → Chapter.
q   Aligning exhaust system free of tension → Chapter.
4 - Lambda probe after catalytic converter -G130-
q   55 Nm
q   Bank 1, probe 2
q   Grease only the thread with high-temperature paste -G 052 112 A3-. The paste must not penetrate into the slots on the probe body.
5 - Clamp
q   Align exhaust system free of stress before tightening clamp → Chapter.
q   Installation position → Fig..
q   Tighten bolted connections evenly.
6 - 23 Nm
7 - Rubber mounting
q   Renew if damaged.
8 - Mounting
9 - 23 Nm
10 - Vacuum hose
q   To vacuum unit
q   Individual parts of vacuum unit → Fig.
11 - Vacuum actuator
q   Check → Chapter.
12 - Rear silencer
q   Aligning exhaust system free of tension → Chapter.
13 - 23 Nm
14 - Mounting
15 - 23 Nm
16 - Bracket
q   Riveted onto heat shield
17 - 23 Nm
18 - Mounting
19 - Gasket
q   Renew.

   
Installation position of clamp
–  Install clamp in illustrated angle position.
l  α = approx. 20°.
l  Bolted connections to right.
l  Nuts upwards.

6 - To exhaust flap vacuum unit → Item
