High-Intensity Gas Discharge Lamp Control Modules J343 / J344, Removing and Installing

High-intensity Gas Discharge Lamp Control Modules J343 / J344, Removing And Installing 

NOTE:  High intensity gas discharge lamp control modules do not have On Board Diagnostic (OBD) capabilities.

Removing: 

-

Remove headlamp.

-

Remove screws -arrows- at control module -1-.

NOTE:  When removing High-intensity Gas Discharge Lamp Control Module, no harness connectors must be disconnected. Harness connector is
installed permanently on headlamp and is automatically disconnected upon removal.

Remove High-intensity Gas Discharge Lamp Control Module -1- from headlamp.

Installing: 

CAUTION:  When installing module, ensure proper seating. Water intrusion will damage headlamp. 

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

Check HID Lamp function.

Perform headlamp basic setting, check headlamp aim and adjust if necessary.
