Tighten mounting nuts -1- to specified tightening torques.

NOTE:  Taillamp assembly harness connector must engage "audibly" in side panel when connecting.

Check gap dimension to body after installing Tail lamp assembly.

On vehicles from November 2005, adjust flush dimension to bumper trim if necessary.

On vehicles through November 2005, the flush dimension to the bumper trim cannot be adjusted.

NOTE:  On vehicles from November 2005, an adjustment element is installed which can be used to adjust the flush dimension to the bumper trim. Since
November 2005, only Tail lamps that require this adjustment element are offered. Therefore, when a new lamp is installed, it is necessary to install an
adapter on the lamp that can recreate the difference to the plate. This adapter is not adjustable.

Remove old Tail lamps.

The adapter is installed in the area marked in the picture.
